Where to report a concern

This blog can't take reports. Send concerns to the people who can act on them.

At your school

Start with the main office or principal for safety concerns about the building, and the school counselor for bullying or a student who seems to be struggling. Ask whether your district has an anonymous tip line or app; many do.

A threat or a student in crisis

Report threats of violence to local police as well as the school, even if you're unsure how serious they are. If a student may be thinking about suicide, call or text 988 to reach the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline.
